Waypoint

Terms of Use

Last updated October 18, 2026

These terms apply to your use of Waypoint, an EMS protocol service built and operated by Strange Harmony (“we”, “us”), on any Waypoint site, including sites at waypointems.com and sites run for an EMS system, medical direction or agency (an “Organization”). By signing in to or using Waypoint you agree to these terms. Your Organization may also have its own agreement with us or its own rules for using its site; if they conflict with these terms, the Organization’s agreement with us controls.

Clinical content and medical direction

The protocols, medication information and other clinical content on a Waypoint site are written and approved by that site’s Organization and its medical direction, not by Strange Harmony. Waypoint is a tool for publishing and maintaining that content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Content and ownership

Each Organization owns the protocols and other content it puts in Waypoint, and is responsible for having the rights to it. Content you create in an Organization’s site, such as comments and change requests, belongs to that Organization’s records. You give us permission to host, copy and display that content only as needed to run Waypoint for the Organization.

Waypoint itself, including its software, design and the Waypoint name and marks, belongs to Strange Harmony. You may not copy, modify or reverse engineer it except as the law allows.

Availability

We work to keep Waypoint available and to keep offline copies working, but the service may sometimes be unavailable, and offline copies may be out of date until your device reconnects. Always keep your agency’s backup procedures for reaching protocols. We may change or improve features over time.

Disclaimers

Waypoint is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Strange Harmony disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not write or approve clinical content and are not responsible for its accuracy or for decisions made in patient care.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Strange Harmony will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Waypoint. Our total liability to you for any claim about Waypoint is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Ending access

Your Organization or we may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the Organization’s use of Waypoint ends, or to protect the service or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will give notice in Waypoint or by email. Using Waypoint after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas, unless your Organization’s agreement with us says otherwise.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Waypoint handles information.
